  1. “To know, to think, to dream…” these are the best things in life, and words to live by in 2016. The view of your life via the series of photos of this post (and of this past year) is a perfect place to do all three ~ part of the beauty of the crispness of fall and cold of winter.

Were we not born to wander? Yes we were, and this is where the New Year will begin as we set down a new course for the year. Wishing you and your family the best Lu ~ cheers to a great year ahead.

    • Did you ever read about the Maine hermit, Randy?? Young man walks into the woods, becomes spellbound, only to emerge years later, older, stranger and forever transformed…. Why did he do it? someone asked the hermit. Surely, ‘There must have been some grand insight,’ something – enlightenment, tranquility, even a poem – ‘revealed to him in the wild.’ But what?

Nothing really, said the hermit. He simply wanted the freedom to be alone.
Well, not all that bad… isn’t it?
