I’ll add it to my list. Which just gets longer and longer. 🙂
PS See the last post 🙂
Your photos have a fairy tale feel. And that quote! Delicious. 🙂
Oh, I see you enjoyed it as much as I did:)
I texted my friend Bridget in Zurich last night asking her if she still considers herself my friend after seeing the post:)
LOL
You have no chance to come in Montalcino with me and not visit Florence. By car is only one hour away 🙂
Your opening photo brings a feeling of stepping into another world ~ but then again, all your posts have this very mystical, other-worldly fantasy feel. Simply brilliant ~ and to have Lang Lang accompany is the icing on the cake.
“Plato seems also to be aware that there is a mystery of love not only in nature, but in man, extending far beyond the mere immediate relation of the sexes. He is conscious that the highest and noblest things in the world are not easily severed from the sensual desires, or may even be regarded as a spiritualized form of them…
Love is with Plato not merely the feeling usually so called, but the mystical contemplation of the beautiful and the good. The same passion which may wallow in the mire is capable of rising to the highest summit – of penetrating to the inmost secret of philosophy.”
From Introduction to the Symposium – Benjamin Jowet
… the mystical contemplation of the beautiful and the good…. Can’t stop doing that. I bet you knew it.
Poolside paradise. A life of elegance and culture. Ahhh.
Florence is a paradise itself… When in these places life achieves new heights….
I’ll add it to my list. Which just gets longer and longer. 🙂
